    Forza Motorsport 7 (ForzaMotorsport7) does not launch, goes into a black screen


    Hi

    I have downloaded a game for the first time.

    Chose one of the forza games. Had a terrible experience downloading and installing the game.

    Eventually it installed (after five! or more hours of continued failures to dowload)

    The program installed, but when I hit play, .... a splash screen appears, with the tittle of the game (ForzaMotorsport7)...and then it just stays in a black empty screen forever.

    Note: I downloaded the game on an external flash drive (I'm not sure if this is causing any trouble)

    This seems a bit puzzling to me: when I hit play on Microsoft store it calls an instance of ForzaMotorsport7.exe with path to my main internal drive ( C drive)....

    C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.ApolloBaseGame_1.174.4791.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\ForzaMotorsport7.exe

    That's the automated comand line that runs when i hit play on Microsoft store

    "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.ApolloBaseGame_1.174.4791.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\ForzaMotorsport7.exe" -ServerName:forzamotorsport7.AppXhg3ar1rc79h5svsr7cnv3r2f5jf1vzfk.mca

    Can anybody offer a work around to have the game do what is supposed to do and let me play instead of give me a headache with no game and a black screen?

    Hello! What your going to want to do is sign in before you load the game so your profile is already selected. If this doesn't work here is some

    trouble shooting     that you can attempt. Keep in mind your router is very heavily involved with everything your console does. If we can help please reply on a new thread so our support outlets can chime in!

    I ordered this game forza motorsport 7 but when i pressed cancel downloading it is all gone, vanished, not showing in the library !

    Forza Motorsport 7 was delisted years ago and cannot be purchased

    Forza Motorsport launches today for Xbox Series consoles and can be played via the cloud

    Forza's servers right now are unpridictable with the launch of motorsport 7, so check in an hour or so.

    2 players on same console question - Very new XBOX owner

    Some version of Forza do appear to support split screen mode in free-play. Forza horizon 4 does not appear to be one of them though. Racing games are getting very resource intensive on the consoles and that may be the reason why.

    Forza motorsport 7 does support split screen and is considered a top notch racing sim.
