Forza horizon won't work online? Weird issues in game?

Purchased an Xbox Xseries for Christmas. It was the for,a horizon edition. I also purchased a 3 month xbox gold card which I've read has actually been rebranded as "core pass"? Or something like that. I was pretty sure when I purchased these items that this would mean the player would be able to access the online parts of forza.

It seems that he gets to play with online players in free roam. He's often racing others at the festival location. Plus, he once joined a convoy at an arcade event.

He had not tried before but he is not able to now go to the online tab in the menu and do any of those things. We are also noticing a problem during races. He is unable to pause the game because it seems to other cars in the race continue to move while he pauses. When he rewinds the other cars also seem to continue to move and it does not pause after the rewind.

He looked online about requirements to "unlock" online and made sure he completed everything he was suggested to.

I'd also like to add we've double check wifi connection and our internet is working fine

If anyone has any insight of what's going on and any way to fix it, that would be so appreciated. We are confused and dissapointed

I am sorry to hear that.

He should be able to play online with a Game Pass Core subscription.

As for the Pause and Rewind features, we can't pause online races.

Please, make sure to make your XBOX the home console of your account.

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.

Do either of the following to change the status of your console:

To make this your home Xbox, select Make this my home Xbox.

Thanks! The weird thing is, this issue only happens with series x games. Forza horizon 4 looks perfect. It’s just the new multiplayer halo and Forza Horizon 5.

Having the 8083201d sync issue myself over the last 4 days. Some games sync others won't. Been unable play Forza horizon 2 or Forza 6.

Hope it gets sorted soon. Anyone managed to get it working?
