Forza Horizon 5 keeps disconnecting from online

We understand that you are with Forza Horizon 5 wherein it keeps on disconnecting. Let us check on this together and sort this out. Rest assured, we will do anything in our capability to assist you with your concern.

However, in your isolated case, we’d like to know more about it in details so that we can provide a more accurate resolution for you. To start, please provide us information/answer on the following questions:

• Device specs, make and model?
  
• Current version and edition of Windows Installed? (Search for WINVER in Windows search to see this)
  
• Was this working properly before?
  
• When did the issue started?
  
• Is this only happening with one specific game or other games are affected?
  

Meanwhile, here are some steps we can perform to try and fix the issue.

Method 1: Follow the network troubleshooting guide below

• Fix Wi-Fi connection issues in Windows (microsoft.com)
  

Method 2: Uninstall/Reinstall Wifi Adapter

• Open Device Manager
  
• Expand Network Adapters
  
• Locate your Wireless Driver
  
• Right Click on it then click on uninstall
  
• Click Action on top
  
• The click scan for hardware changes
  

Method 3: Change network settings

• Open command prompt and run it as administrator
  
• Run the commands below

  netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled

  [/tr][tr][td]

  netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

  [/td][/tr][tr][td]

  netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled

  [/td][/tr][/table]
  
• After running the command
  
• Run another command below
  
  [table][tr]

  netsh int tcp show global

  [/tr][/table]
  
• The list should show all TCP Global Parameters are disabled except for Receive-Side Scaling State.
  

Test you connection and see if the issue would still persist.

That's great to know. It means that it's your network connection. The steps I have provided earlier have you already tried that? Here you go:

1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

Kindly perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware by following the steps below:

Thank you so much for that. Since this is only happening with one game it is indeed odd. It would be best to reach out to Forza Support in that way they can guide if there are required ports to be OPEN for the game to connect to online multiplayer.
