Forza Horizon 5 crashed at launch with exception code 0xc00000fd on PC (Steam version)

I deleted GamingServices and GamingServices.net in regedit, but Xbox APP shows no notification after launching, so I just use "start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN" to install Game Service. Unfortunately, FH5 still crashed at launch.

However, after checking the event viewer, I find out the exception code is changed to 0xc0000005. I tried to follow the solution from google, using "sfc /scannow" in the command prompt, it shows "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations." and FH5 still crashed.

Have you tried verifying the integrity of the files through the game properties on steam?

Follow these steps:

Select the Start button in the lower left corner of the main screen and select Settings.

Select Update and Security > Check for Updates.

Select View optional updates, then select update KB5004476 from the list.

Select Download and Install.

When the update is complete, restart the device.

You should now be able to install, update and launch games.

I verified the integrity of FH5 files before. I even deleted the whole game and reinstalled it from steam, but it still doesn't work.

Also, I couldn't find the update patch called KB5004476, so I assume my win 10 version is already up to date.





Finally, I tried to use the script as u say, but I couldn't find the "run as admin" when I right-click the script.





Thus, I googled it, and use the command "Start-Process powershell -verb runas -ArgumentList "-file C:\RepairGamingServices.ps1", but I still failed.
