    I logged a call previously but am not getting a response there so I'm trying a new call. My previous call link and description pasted below:

    I'm another user who is unable to run Forza Horizon 5. I've tried all steps included in this checklist from Forza Support:

    I've also completely reinstalled Windows 10, installed updates and latest drivers and redownloaded/reinstalled FH5. Still crashing. The only software I'm running is the OS, Malwarebytes AV and VPN, Radeon drivers. Please note FH5 ran well for me in the months after release. It started crashing a few weeks ago. As mentioned I contacted Forza Support who suggested steps I'd already tried before marking my call as 'solved' and telling me to contact https://support.microsoft.com/

    FH5 crashes on my system with the following codes:

    Exception code: 0xc000000d

    Exception code: 0xc0000374

    Exception code: 0xc0000005

    My specs:

    CPU: i7 6700k

    GPU: RX6700XT

    RAM: 16gb DDR4

    Playing on a 1440p 165hz monitor

    One of the replies asked me to uninstall Malwarebytes. I replied I wasn't keen to take this step in order for a game to run and wanted to try adding FH5 to an allowed list first however I wasn't able to browse to the main exe because it's locked behind WindowsApps on c: despite me choosing to install the game on d:\xboxgames. I was trying to get advice on that point and didn't receive a response.

    I gave the game a go again yesterday as there'd been some Windows updates in the weeks since my issues. The game still crashes. I tried relogging with Forza Support but all I get there is an automated reply of troubleshooting steps I've already done + referral to support.microsoft.com. Really hoping I can get some support because my only other option is to cut my losses and give up on the game.

    Also experiencing these issues and have completed all the steps mentioned above and to no use. Forza will run on one profile but will not run on another and crashes on startup.

    Thanks for your replies. Testing still ongoing. The info about xbox insider is good and I have subscribed, thanks.

    To answer your questions:

    Q. May we know if this issue is happening to other game titles?

    A, No.

    Q. To confirm, may we know if the game was installed using Xbox app or Microsoft Store?

    A. XBox app.

    I'd previously tried running with Windows Security and Malwarebytes AV fully disabled and I still crashed but will test again today and advise outcome.

    I've run SFC /scannow many times but had not tried DISM. Will do so and advise.

    We understand that you are trying to play Forza Horizon 5 because the game keeps crashing and showing loading screen. Let us check on this together so you will get back to gaming.

    We have read your previous thread and we have notice that you mention game location during download and the troubleshooting which did not fix the issue. By default, the game is stored in C drive and only a few games allow you to store them on different drives. With the help of feedback from Xbox fan like you, Microsoft Software Engineer have develop a way for everyone to save games on different location/drive. This is still being tested by Insider and should you like to know more about it, please see this link - Advanced Installation and Management Features available for Insiders through the Xbox App for Windows - Xbox Wire.

    Going back to your concern, we noticed that you have issues with the Forza Horizon 5 which in result shows error codes while playing. We understand that you wish not to uninstall the AV you have in your system. We have checked our resources and find out that this issue could be caused by the game's system file being corrupted or blocked by any third party apps or could be fixed by basic troubleshooting. To begin, we will provide you with troubleshooting that can help you with your game. But before that, please provide us few details regarding your concern:

    • May we know if this issue is happening to other game titles?
    • To confirm, may we know if the game was installed using Xbox app or Microsoft Store?
    Suggested troubleshooting:

    1. Install PC updates including Optional Update. Guide - Update Windows and if you have issues with update, please check the troubleshooting steps available here - Troubleshoot problems updating Windows.
    2. Please do the update of drivers, guide - update drivers in Windows.
    3. Note: Please make sure you know your credentials before proceeding to the next steps. If in doubt, try to manually sign in here: Microsoft Account | Home.
      • Log out from Xbox app and Microsoft Store. Make sure there is no account remain logged into those apps.
      • Reset/Repair Microsoft Store and Xbox app (if using). Guide - Repair apps and programs in Windows.
      • Clear the store cache by typing “wsreset” in the Windows search bar. Run this as admin and wait for the screen to close and open the store automatically.
    4. Try this system repair (DISM and SFC)

      In Windows search bar, search for Command Prompt and Run as Administrator.

      Copy the command below one line at a time and paste it on Command Prompt:

      DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

      DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

      DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

      SFC /scannow
    5. Restart and disable all antivirus, antimalware, VPN, proxy, firewall and PC Optimizer. This part you don't need to uninstall any 3rd party app you have in your system. We only suggest you to temporarily disable it to isolate the issue, if it exist because of the 3rd party apps.
    6. Launch the game and try if issue persist then please update us in here by sending a reply.
