Hi Christopher, thanks for your reply.

First, I'm not talking about the demo but the complete game + DLCs (I don't know if this makes a difference, just so we're on the same page).

I've also tried your method on my own after I posted this question and went into the WindowsApps folder and deleted everything related to Forza Horizon 4.
Now the storage space is free, but under the "Apps" tab in the settings the game is still shown with a size of 0 bytes. Trying to uninstall this results in the same error as mentioned above. And in the Microsoft Store it says the game is already installed.

Any ideas how to fix this?

I‘ve tried all of these steps and none of them worked for me. The last one said it repaired some broken files, but I still can’t uninstall it.

See if you can delete the file of Forza Horizon Demo from the WindowsApps folder to force a re download. Here's how:

1) Press Windows key + E

2) Go to this path: C:\Program Files\WindowsApps

3) Locate Forza Horizon 4 Demo and delete it.

If for some reason you are unable to delete the file, I suggest using a third party app called unlocker to complete the deletion.

Download and install unlocker. Then navigate back to WindowsApps folder, right click and select unlocker. Under action, choose delete.

Then go back to Microsoft Store and see if it now needs to be re downloaded.
