Forza Horizon 4 synchronizing Cloud Data fail, savegame lost

Hi,

when i was trying to start forza horizon 4 on my PC an XBOX window poped up and sayed that is needs to synchronize my Cloud data. The percentagescale wouldn't move, so i closed forza. I read that i need to update my Windows 10, which i did, except a optinonal
upadate ( cumulative Update 1903 ( KB4532695 ) which would get me an error after restarting my pc, that the Installation failed.

After that i started Forza Horizon 4 again, and the XBOX Data synchronization went to 100 % in like ~20 min. After that i started the game, just to see that I started a whole new Career. All my 500+ Hours and Cars were gone. I tryed to reset the game to get
the xbox data sync. again, but it gets me an error everytime i reach the 100 %.

The cumulative update is still not installing, i tried the Windows Trouble shooter and restarted the Windows upadate Service, Nothing worked. And so did Forza 4 .

That's why I'm completly clueless What happened there

Ah ok, I just assumed you started out on Xbox, with the PC having to sync data,

The only time i have to data sync is when I'm playing from Xbox to PC ( sync happens on PC ) or PC to Xbox ( sync happens on Xbox ),

I don't know why it would need to sync data if you started out and just play on PC,

I'm not sure what else you can try, other than try to uninstall and reinstall the game to see if it has any affect or if it fixes the issue.

Hi there,

I'm guessing this it the first time you're playing Forza Horizon 4 on PC,

If you've lost your game data for Forza Horizon 4 on PC, having closed the game before allowing it to sync up, ( which it can take some time to do so ),

To make sure you've not completely lost your save data, I would load Forza Horizon 4 on you're Xbox console and see if your save data is ok on the Xbox, if it is ok,

I would then uninstall Forza Horizon 4 from you're PC, then reinstall it and allow it to fully sync up, which may take so time to do so , to see if it works / fixes the issue.

I'm not sure about the Windows 10 update, as I've not had to do any update's to Windows for Forza over the years of going back and fourth playing Forza Horizon 4 between Xbox and PC and having to sync every time i do so.

Update: i cant even Play offline now, it says, that my savefiles are corrupted
