    I really want to buy Forza Horizon 4 but unfortunately, I do not have the game pass and I don't have money to pay every month just to play it. The only reason I'm planning on possibly purchasing it is because its on sale at the moment and since its a one
    time purchase, its something I am able to afford. I'm just wondering, do I need any form of the XBOX game pass in order to play the contents of this game? If I were to try and play without having a game pass, would I be restricted and possible booted out for
    playing without a pass?

    I don't think anyone could be too sure of when this will happen, but I can say they don't sell Forza Horizon 4 Standard Edition digitally, only the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions, however, Game Pass is a good alternative as you get to play Forza Horizon
    4 and MANY MANY other games for $9.99 USD/month

    Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate Edition is not included in Game Pass Ultimate. Only the standard edition of the game is included. If you want to play the add-ons as well, then you will have to purchase them.

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forms. I'd be happy to answer that.

    Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate edition is not included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Only the Standard edition is available from the Xbox Game Pass for Console and PC that comes with subscribing to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. You can see from the

    Forza Horizon 4 product page on the Microsoft Store     that the Standard edition is included with Game Pass and the other more expensive editions are discounted with Game Pass, but not included.

    Subscribing to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will give you early access to Gears of War 5 Ultimate Edition 4 days before release but that is the only Ultimate edition content you'll get with the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate as of right now.

    I believe the game pass version of the game is the standard edition, this edition doesn't the early access.

    For early access you need to buy the "Ultimate" version.

    As stated by the xbox team at E3, Forza Horizon will be playable for game pass subscribers at launch day.
