Forza Horizon 4 PC won't let me change XBOX logins

Long story short, when I was about 14/15 I got banned on Xbox live with this particular account. I'm now 24 and trying to play on PC, I accidentally logged back in to this account on FH4 and now it won't even let me change accounts or anything and won't let me basically play the game My Microsoft store log in is the account I wish to use, but it won't let me change..I purchased the game through steam if that matters. Appreciate a response Asap! Many thanks

as you logged in from steam with the banned account it will now associate that steam account as banned too. you cannot avoid an xbox live ban by logging into an xbox live game via steam with a different account now.

so if you managed to unlink the microsoft account and signed in with another then xbox live will know which steam account it is and will not let you on.

So, since it's on Steam, you could try to unlink your Microsoft account that you use to log in Forza.

Really appreciate the response but sadly none of the options provided work - I have tried uninstalling the game also. Here's my step by step progress

1)it provides the option to start game/press x ((accessibility))

2) I click either of them, I go to the sign in

3) I click sign in, yet it immediately goes to another window saying "we can't sign you in because your account has been suspended from Xbox live"

I do not wish to use the suspended account for it is only ever used for junk mail now. I used Xbox game bar and linked to steam but no luck, it provides no possibility of being able to change accounts anywhere.

Any more advice would be greatly welcomed, thank you.

I'm afraid you can't bypass an Xbox Live ban by using a different account. If you sign into your account through Steam and succeed in unlinking the banned account, Xbox Live will figure out which Steam account the new one is tied to and you'll still get the suspension/ban message.

That’s odd! The setting which I’m trying to change on PC is already enabled on my Xbox! However, forza horizon 4 on the PC still won’t let me join multiplayer games.
