Forza Horizon 4 PC Load Failed, cannot sync with cloud

The game has been having intermittent connectivity issues for at least the last week, no I don’t have any information beyond my own experience

There is a possibility that your cloud save is still there, but for some reason, is not syncing on your PC.

Do you have access to an Xbox One and Forza Horizon 4? If so, then can you load up the game and see if your progress is still there. If it is, then you at least know the save hasn't been lost.

I'm searching around for some answers. Some are suggesting the usual, make sure everything is up to date, reinstall the game.

I'm guessing this it the first time you're playing Forza Horizon 4 on PC,

If you've lost your game data for Forza Horizon 4 on PC, having closed the game before allowing it to sync up, ( which it can take some time to do so ),

To make sure you've not completely lost your save data, I would load Forza Horizon 4 on you're Xbox console and see if your save data is ok on the Xbox, if it is ok,

I would then uninstall Forza Horizon 4 from you're PC, then reinstall it and allow it to fully sync up, which may take so time to do so , to see if it works / fixes the issue.

I'm not sure about the Windows 10 update, as I've not had to do any update's to Windows for Forza over the years of going back and fourth playing Forza Horizon 4 between Xbox and PC and having to sync every time i do so.

i lost my progress after sync console with cloud, so i think new game and new progress now at cloud. On my PC i have game with old progress, can i load progress from PC to cloud , not from cloud to pc. How to find local savings at PC ?

The local Forza Horizon 4 save games are located here:

C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.SunriseBaseGame_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData

There should be a wgs folder in there which is the save folder.

Not entirely sure how to get the local copy synced to the cloud without the cloud over-riding the local copy though...way beyond my ability to understand

I don't know how old your PC is, but even the current version of the Lenovo 510 fails to meet the minimum requirements to run Forza Horizon 4. This PC is sold as a home office PC, it's not really meant for games. This is likely why the game fails to load.
