Forza Horizon 4 Lost save

Hi there,

I'm guessing this it the first time you're playing Forza Horizon 4 on PC,

If you've lost your game data for Forza Horizon 4 on PC, having closed the game before allowing it to sync up, ( which it can take some time to do so ),

To make sure you've not completely lost your save data, I would load Forza Horizon 4 on you're Xbox console and see if your save data is ok on the Xbox, if it is ok,

I would then uninstall Forza Horizon 4 from you're PC, then reinstall it and allow it to fully sync up, which may take so time to do so , to see if it works / fixes the issue.

I'm not sure about the Windows 10 update, as I've not had to do any update's to Windows for Forza over the years of going back and fourth playing Forza Horizon 4 between Xbox and PC and having to sync every time i do so.

Have a nice day. Progress in Forza Horizon 4 is lost when I logged in other my PC. But I choose "Local saves". Can I restore my progress?

i still have all my progress in forza horizon 4 after trying this i checked if it was saved before by going on my games and apps then i pressed more options on forza horizon 4 and selected Manage game and add-ons and scrolled down to the Saved data tab
and it says there is 10 MB of reserved space for forza horizon 4.not sure if this is the correctway to chech or if that tells me it is saved but it worled for me. hope this helps.

- If you have access to Xbox console or a PC, try loading Forza on that system to see if your saved data is loaded. If you have Game Pass Ultimate, you may be able to stream the game via cloud gaming to try this step.

- Make sure your Xbox is up-to-date: Go to Settings > System > Updates. If you see' Console update available', select this to start the update. If you see 'No console update available', your console is already up to date.

- Remove Forza from Quick Resume: Fully close the game by highlighting it on the home screen, pressing the Menu button on your controller and selecting 'Quit'. Then, hold down the Xbox button on your controller and select Restart Console. Relaunch the game.

- Power cycle your Xbox: Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or on your controller. Relaunch the game.

- Re-sync your cloud saved data: Highlight the game on your home screen or Games & Apps, then select 'Manage Game' > 'Saved Data' > your profile > Delete from console. (Make sure you only select 'Delete from console'. Do not select Delete from Everywhere). Relaunch the game and let it automatically sync to the cloud.

- Reset your Xbox console: Press the Xbox button to open the guide. Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info > Reset console. Select Reset and keep my games & apps.

- Uninstall then reinstall the game: Highlight the game on your home screen or Games & Apps, then select 'Uninstall'. Then, uninstall a couple different games/apps or install some games/apps so that when you reinstall the game, it's installed to a different part of the Xbox's SSD. If you own Forza digitally, go to your 'Full Library' in your Games & Apps to find and re-download the game. If you own it on disc, insert the disc to begin reinstalling it.

If these steps don't help, you will unfortunately need to delete your existing saved data. The Forza Team should be able to restore your inventory, including Cars, Credits, Vanity items, and Wheel Spins. Unfortunately, they cannot restore any Forzathon Points, Skill Points, Level, Experience, Tokens, or Progress.

Hold the Xbox Button to open the Power menu, select Report a problem > Report New problem.

You will then need to delete your saved data:

On Home, select My games and apps.

Highlight the game, press the Menu button ​​ ​​on your controller, and then select Manage game.

In the menu on the left of the screen, scroll down to Saved Data, highlight the saved data for your Gamertag on the right and press the A button on your controller.

You'll be prompted to confirm the deletion of this game save data. Select Delete Everywhere.
