Forza Horizon 4 launch date

I've never had good luck with launch dates, on the first day of school, comes out a day late, or I just completely miss it. But the launch of Forza Horizon 4 is one that just makes me mad. The launch date is on October 2, but if you buy the ultimate
edition you get it 4 days early on September 28. September 28th is a very good launch date for me, being on Friday so I can have the weekend to play. Me being very eager to get my hands on it, pay extra so I can get it early. I love being ahead in games, grinding
every day to get that high level or new car before anyone else does. But when I saw a ton of content creators playing it a week early I was very confused and aggravated. I later found out that Microsoft gave the game early access to content creators for more
publicity. This was very counterproductive, It felt like I paid 40 dollars extra just so people could explore and spoil the game before I even get it. The reason I watch someone play my favorite game is so I can see cool stuff that I can do, and learn about
tips and tricks, not feeling jealous and mad that there having all this fun without me. I hope someone at Microsoft sees or at least considers that giving early access to content creators is making me lose interest in Forza Horizon 4 already.

Snap sidebar shows wrong game name

Hi everyone,

Small issue. Purchased Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate Edition. Been playing since it came out yesterday, great game. I'm having an odd issue though.

On my home screen, the game name shows up fine as: "Forza Horizon 4". However, on the snap sidebar, it shows up as: "Forza Horizon 4 Demo". I deleted the demo before i launched the full game for the first time. When I launch the game from the sidebar, it
launches the full game.

Multiple hard resets have had no effect. Thinking i might have to delete and reinstall the game unfortunately.

Anybody ever have an issue like this?

 

Reviewers etc get games early a lot of times. Always has been that way.

 

Unfortunately this is just a staple of games industry these days. Publishers wanna get as many people invested in their game as possible and giving copies to content creators is an efficient way to do so. My only advice is to hold off on watching content
until you start playing the game yourself.

I understand the frustration but couldn’t you just not watch streamers play the game so as to not have anything spoiled?

 

Personally I haven't even watched any of the content creator stuff, unless you count the tv commercial, and the stuff done by turn 10, playground games, and that where they showed off a show case event, the showing off of the 4 seasons over 4 weeks, and
those sorts of things. To be honest I wasn't even aware that content creators had access to the game already, I know there is the Demo that you can get, which I have played.

If watching the content creators is turning you off the game, before you have even played it, then I suggest you stop watching them.
