Forza Horizon 4 FH601 Error

I have tried to reinstall the game several times, as well as install various Windows Media Components. I have Windows 10 Education N, Version 2004, OS Build 19041.264, Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2202.130.0. Is there another version of this that
I need to download as I only see up version 1809 on the Microsoft N Version post or should I restart the whole process? Please help me as I would love to play on my new computer build!

Hello Zamfirdavid13,

This didn't fix my problem as I have already tried this. The version of Windows I have is Windows Education N, Version 2004. There isn't an "N' update for Version 2004. It only goes up to Version 1809.

What is the current build of Windows 10 you are using on your computer? You can refer this article to Check for the operating
system information in Windows 10.
Was Windows Media feature pack installed successfully installed or do you receive any error code/message during the installation?

I understand it can be frustrating when the application don’t work the way they are supposed to. The error code/ message, the issue might be due to missing Windows Media components and missing media .dll files to install Forza Horizon 4.

Please follow the below mentioned methods and check if that makes any difference.

Method 1:

There are different version of Media Feature Pack for different versions of Windows 10. As you have Windows 10 Pro N installed on your computer, I suggest to refer this article Media
Feature Pack list for Windows N editions and select the appropriate Media Feature Pack for the version of Windows installed on your computer.

If the issue persist, please refer method 2.

Method 2:

I also suggest you to update the graphic driver on your computer and check with the issue, please refer the article Update
drivers in Windows 10, expand display adaptor and follow the steps mentioned in the article.

You can try this solution:

1. Go to settings.

2. And go to Apps and Features.

3. Then, add a feature.

4. Find the Media Pack and install it.

If you can't find the Windows Media Feature Pack, this can help you.

Or, if you can't still find the Windows Media Feature Pack,
install it with this link.
