    Forza Horizon 3: 0xc0000005 crash


    Hello, when I play FH3 it will sometime randomly crash during a race. After restarting the game and selecting "continue" in the main menu the game crashes to desktop.

    My hardware specs:

    Win 10 Pro 64bit

    16 gb ram

    GTX 1070

    i7 4770k

    game installed on brand new SSD

    I am not using an antivirus apart from Windows Defender, or whatever windows is calling the thing that comes bundled with Win10 nowadays.

    PC formatted just a few days ago, its a fresh windows install, all drivers are up to date.

    If I reset user data I can play again, until next crash. Issue is that to re-download the roughly 150mb save it takes like 20 minutes, its ridiculous.

    There is no lag when I play etc, my PC can DEFINITELY handle this game, it just has that random crash with the same exception code every time.

    How can I permanently solve this very frustrating issue?

    GAME WILL NOT START ON BUILD 14942

    Same issue here on build 14931. GoW4 and Forza Horizon 3 will crash on start. But Forza Motorsport 6 Apex will run without problem.

    I cant edit my post so I will add extra info here:

    I do not have issues in any other games. (However this is my only game on Microsoft Store)

    If I run the troubleshooter it just tells me to reset the data, which works, but it takes like 40 minute to redownload data and the crash will happen again every now and then, so this is not an acceptable solution.

    The game cost A LOT (ultimate edition) so I expect it to work, especially when my PC is _DEFINITELY_ strong enough to handle the game.

    Games are crashing after a power failure. (Solved)

    I was playing Forza Horizon 4, and it seems to crash a lot sooner for some reason, with the same error code 0xc0000005. It seems what I did, didn't fix the problem.

    I've tried doing everything on the link you provided, but the game still doesn't work. Code error 0xc0000005 always in eventviewer.

    Forza Horizon 4 crashes after selecting continue (PC)

    There are a number of things that can cause crashes in Forza Horizon 4. It could be another program running or even just needing to update your GPU driver. Here is a link to a thread with some known issues and possible solutions to try. I would make sure
