    Forza Five disk version won't save


    Hello,

    Today I purchased Forza Five disk copy. I was extremely excited to play. Unfortunately, the game will not save. Therefore, if I quit the game and restart it, I have to start the game from the very beginning. This is the message I get when the game fails
    to save - ' The file failed to save. Please try your save again.' I have reset my Xbox by holding down the power button for 10 seconds and then pulling out all of the cords. I have reset my Forza profile so any information was cleared from the hard drive and
    reset. Please help me. This is extremely frustrated and I am extremely disappointed with Xbox and Forza. This is not acceptable.

    Data usage for downloads

    Alternatively if you can borrow the disk versions of the game from a friend or a DVD rental place. Install the games offline, reconnect to live, then redeem the digital game codes. This then should override the retail versions of the games you installed
    via disk and make them digital versions of the games. This should save your download quota. I did this method with Forza 5.

    Has it been confirmed yet that you can install content from a disc and it will use the same data if you go digital or must you download the digital version in its entirety?

    Forza Five disk version won't save

    How far in to the game had you gone? If you haven't done the first few races the game will not save you will need to restart.

    If you have gone further then try highlighting the game from the Home screen and press the start button then select Manage Game. When it gets to the next screen you can then highlight it again and press the Start button and select Delete.

    Once deleted you can try reinstalling it.

    Do you on the disk or digital version

    If disk version or game share it won't work as it's account speccific and you need to own the base game digitally

    Thanks for coming to the forums. If you are asking if a digital save can be used with a disk version. Then yes, it is possible as it only is a save for the game. Licenses are issued to your profile for digital games, and disk games the license is on the
    disk.
