    Forza 5 installation notification error message?


    Forza 5 installation notification error message? I keep getting a notification saying that it's installing Forza 5 when It's already installed this the not the first time I get this message I'm a level 115 in Forza 5 so this message makes no sense? Plus
    my game keeps playing in the background every time I put in the disc to continue playing it..........? Am I ejecting my disc wrong or something?

    Error 0x87df2ee2 - Forza 5

    20 days ago I installed Forza
    5 and was playing normally.

    Since yesterday it had an error 0x87df2ee2 and a message
    : Installation aborted.

    What kind of bug is this?

    Imagine my dissatisfaction!! :-(

    Resume an interrupted installation

    I'm trying to download my Forza 5 VIP bonus content and I received a notification that the installation stopped. Every time I select the notification it says "We found network problems when we tried to install this. Check your connection, then try again."
    The problem is, I can't figure out how to 'try again' because that's the only message I receive upon clicking the notification, and scanning the QR code again doesn't work.

    Forza 5 installation notification error message?

    Ejecting the disc does not stop the game process from running on the Xbox One. If you want to completely quit the game - go to the dashboard, select the Forza 5 tile, press the menu button, select "Quit" from the context menu.

    For the installation error message - try doing a power cycle on your console. That's fixed this issue for me in the past. Here are the steps to perform a power cycle:

    It happens with other games as well. I tried installing 2 games other than Forza Horizon 5, but it shows the same error message.

    Forza Horizon 5 - Install Issues/Hard Drive Issues

    I have reinstalled the xbox game pass app.

    It is still showing Forza Horizon 5 as uninstalled.

    When attempting to install, it shows 110gb of storage space free (I know that this should be closer to 220-230gb)- suggesting that the failed install from last night is still hogging drive space.

    If I try to install Forza Horizon 5 again, it lingers on "preparing install" before failing without any error messages

    It seems like there is some corrupt data somewhere that I need to clear both to free up space and allow me to reinstall the game.
