Forza 5 crashing to dashboard. The fix is to delete my profile and lose all saved data?

My xBox One started only showing a blank screen after trying to go from games to the home dashboard. I researched and supposedly Microsoft released a crap update that is causing this. This only started happening in the last couple of days. I was playing
Forza and when trying to exit the game it pulled this crap again. Their "fix" is to reset power on the console which of course will probably screw up your game data saves. Great fix Microsoft. It seems my profile data for Forza got corrupted implementing this
"fix" and now I can't continue in Forza or it will just kick me back to the dashboard. I already tried cold booting and it kicks me out when trying to resume the same racing series over and over. This is ridiculous. The only "fix" for this is to reset my game
profile and lose all my progress in the game? Are you serious? Does Microsoft not test updates before they release them? Hello this isn't a small problem when people waste hours of their time playing a game and then have to start from scratch. Having to continually
power off your system manually is a fix? If you just power off a computer system you lose data...same with a xbox since it's a *** computer. Microsoft you are seriously dropping the ball. I was going to sell my PS4 and keep the one but now I think I know which
console will stay and it won't be made by Microsoft.

Anyone know how to fix this glitch?

Here's instructions:

1) Dashboard and go into System Setting

2) Go to memory then to BF3

3) Delete "PROFILE SAVED DATA" and NOTHING ELSE.

4) Play BF3 and get everything set back up

5) ???

6) Prrofit

***WARNING***

Deleting "PROFILE SAVED DATA" will remove your Campaign progress, so if your doing a hard playthrough then do it now or you lose your progress!

 

Xbox Disconnects every 5-10 minutes, but will hold for up to an hour.

By "downloading profile again" do you mean... delete my profile then recover it and lose all my saved data in the process? I really don't want to lose all my stuff right before Mass Effect 3.

I'm the only one with a profile on the console.

 

Hi slow4mula2002. Sorry to hear you have been experiencing issues following an update. Looking at the FAQ's your save game data should be stored on the cloud not on the consoles HD so if anything it corrupted it could be the game data on the drive. Try
uninstalling the game and reinstalling it and your saved data should resync when you login to forza.

I have been having issues with Forza doing this too, best bet for me was to load game from either my pins section or my games and apps. either way this is a bit of a pain and shouldn't be happening!

 

Ok I uninstalled the game and before that deleted the game data on the console (left it in the cloud). reinstalled and it loaded game data for the cloud. It still freezes and kicks me back to the main dashboard trying to resume the S class race series. I
can play R class and the other classes fine. WTF.

 

having very similar troubles since update to add new track/ tried lots, still stuck, crashing back to homescreen after loading new maps or multiplayer matches.

please fix this Microsoft, there re multiple reports now from users, get a fix out right away. Forza is your game, cant blame other developers on this one as you work directly with turn10. WTF is right

 

Same here, the game crashes when trying to enter the S class series (rest of the game seems to play ok). In 9 years of having a 360, I don't remember once having a game crash in this manner. Unacceptable.

 

I have the exact same issue crashes only in S class series tried r class ok (i have 2 races done in S when trying the 3rd it crashed) deleted game and reinstalled it same issue

 

Yup everything else seems to work fine, but after whatever update was applied I cant' continue S class races. I noticed if I go to the S class series it doesn't show the information about which track you are going to race, etc. so you can tell something
is wrong even before you attempt to resume! Everything else seems to work fine in Forza though, oh except half the time I try to go back to the dashboard the screen goes blank and I have to shutdown my xbox and unplug it to get things going again...ughhh

 

Having the same problem, immediately after the game updated I tried to resume S class race and it crashes to the dashboard everytime. Other races seem to be working fine, this also happened right after I downloaded the preview registration for the March
update so I am not sure if that has anything to do with it or not. I definitely do not want to delete the profile and start over though,any new information on what is causing this?

 

Same issue here. I hear a weird noise right before the race starts and then it crashes to the dashboard. Able to play multiplayer for a couple of races before it crashes again.

Tried all the fixes recommended in the forums and nothing works.

All my games have issues but Forza is the worse..

 

I can't believe this stupid game still crashes to the dashboard!! It's been 8 months

 

Mine keeps crashing every time, I'm getting really annoyed it especially when I'm in a multiplayer race

 

I am still getting these issues where it will not load tracks and crashes back to dashboard. I then can not load any other game and have to hard reset the Xbox One!

This just isn't right..
