    Forza 4 Crashes when paused


    I recently got Forza 4 through Xbox Game Pass on PC and it freezes and crashes whenever I try to pause the game. This happens when I use the "esc" key or the start key on my controller. I have already deleted and re-installed the game to no success.
    Is there a known solution to this? Ive done some searching and haven't found anything.

    yup, already done that too. I went thru the list of things that it "COULD" be and spent some considerable time on it and come to the conclusion that it is the game software itself and not my console. Also every other game or app on my console works perfectly
    except for (interestingly enough) Forza 7 that still has problems loading menus and tracks and has terrible stuttering issues..but its playable, and for the most part so is Forza Horizon 4 but is frustrating having to reload the game every race. Kinda slows
    down progress!!

    this did not improve the situation with lockup during pause within the game. I did remove my account info and reinstall the game but didn't seem to make any difference. I will wait and not play the game until a resolution of this matter is achieved.

    It appears that Forza Horizon 4 is having performance issues, and is causing a crash pausing is accessed.

    Our suggestion here, if the attempted troubleshooting has not aided in stopping this error it is best to report or sort through the
    Forza Forums

    in regards to the situation.

    As the game's release was fairly recent, this is possibly the type of feedback that this development team would enjoy to know, as all projects actively attempt to improve its services.

    Sorry to hear about this happening with your console.

    If I were you, I'd try the support article entitled "My Xbox One game won't start or freezes during gameplay" and see if that keep the game
    running.

    Give the steps in that guide a go and let us know how that helped in resolving your issue
