Fortnite Xbox linked account change??

Hi, i signed my daughter up for fortnite. I needed to changed her parental settings on her xbox account to enable her to play the game, but in mean time i let her play it on her dads xbox account. Ive now sorted her account so she can play it, but when
i go to unlink accounts it says will no be able to link a new account. Is there a way round this, as would really prefer her to play on her account.

try logging out and restarting, clear the cache and then try to account again

I'm afraid it's not possible to change a Adult account to a Child account, it's also not possible to move achievements and progress from one Xbox Live account to another Xbox Live account.

There are a few exceptions like Fortnite, where it should be possible to link the Epic account (the account that holds Fortnite progress) to another Xbox Live Account.

Hello Dubster,

There is no way to change this as that is the name used on the game through Xbox. On your epic account you can have a username also. The only way to change the name you are wanting is to do a gamer tag change. This link may help you from fortnite forums.

Hello Khaji,

There was a lot of account switching so I don't know what email the account is linked to. I tried to log in with all different email but none of them had the right Fortnite account or didn't have an account linked at all. Not having the email meaning that I cannot change the password. What I think happen is that i changed my email on the xbox and not on Fortnite so I couldn't access the account and then somehow it got deleted. Thank you for taking your time to read my post.

I'm afraid it's not possible to make the account a Child account, but for Fortnite there might be a different option, which will at least let your son keep the Fortnite specific purchases and profile (since these are connected to the Epic account). It will
require a different Xbox Live Account (and Microsoft Account) so achievements will be none, purchases regarding other games won't be present etc etc and a different Gamertag.
