Fortnite Vbucks/ Digital Card Not Received/ Intended as a gift

Hi,

I bought fortnite Vbucks using my email id to gift to my nephew. I dont have any Xbox account and intend to give the digital code to my nephew. I havent received any code in my email. Is it normal ? Since this is my first purchase, I do not know how does
this process work. Can someone please enlighten me?

In order to gift content through Xbox, you have to choose "Buy as a gift" at purchase and it'll ask for an email address to send the code to. If you chose "Buy", the Vbucks would have been added to your account directly.

Fortnite gift cards are under epic games. Unless you bought a xbox branded gift card and it is not epic games then you may not be able to use it unless you install the (epicgameslauncher) note that if you bought vbucks it will transfer to your xbox fortnite
account

If you are playing Fortnite or Roblox on PC, then you cannot use the Microsoft gift card to purchase robux or vbucks. You would need to use a credit card in game or gift cards for those games.
