Fortnite stuck on checking for updates on Xbox series s

Yes i checked my other controller as well and both this delayed one and the OG that came with the Xbox series s is 1914 model and yes everything is updated including controller and system. I don't have any other games so i don't know if it's just Fortnite or not.

Just a reminder, we are not able to double check your account here manually since we do not have the option to and only Epic Games are able to access. No worries, we do have some effective troubleshooting steps here that could fix the issue.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:



1. Clear the cache on your Xbox Series S. To do this, hold down the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it turns off. Then unplug the power cable from the back of the console and wait for 10 seconds before plugging it back in and turning the console back on.



2. Check for any available updates for Fortnite. You can do this by going to "My games & apps" on your Xbox Series S, selecting Fortnite, and then checking for updates.



3. Try uninstalling and reinstalling Fortnite again. Make sure to fully uninstall the game before reinstalling it.

We totally understand that you want to play Fortnite on higher FPS and resolution. However. the Xbox Series S does not support 1440p resolution at 120fps for Fortnite. The maximum resolution supported by the Xbox Series S is 1080p at 120fps. However, you can still enjoy playing Fortnite on your Xbox Series S at 1080p and 120fps.
