Fortnite Party Audio Issue

sometimes on fortnte the audio gliches out and what you need to do is before you go on fortnite start an xbox party up then load in to fortnite then go to your friends list then click Y then scroll down to audio channel then go xbox party chat to game xbox
party chat to game and that usually fixes it

The audio issue you are having is based on fortnite platform. if you would like to hear your friend turn party chat off and on in settings and it that doesn't work restart your game and DO NOT GO IN TO XBOX Party

So just need to understand something really quick. If you are utilizing the in-game party system available inside Fortnite, this might be something that Epic is working on. I did a quick search and found this article on their support page that offers assistance with this very issue.

You can also check to see if your party audio is being balanced correctly by opening up your audio headset settings menu from the quick guide

1. Open you quick guide on your console by pressing the Xbox button
   
2. From the Home menu, select the Audio option in the bottom right
   
   1. This will only show up if you have a headset paired or plugged in and turned on
      
3. change your Audio balance under the Headset Chat Mixer slider option in the middle
   
   1. Please note that if you have it all the way to the right you will only hear game audio and no party chat, and the opposite if you have it all the way to the left

If its fortnite the game is bugged i usally turn off all the audio settings then turn it back on restart fortnite and join a xbox party then switch to game chat it works sometimes

So i have a turtle beach headset that work perfectly fine when im in an xbox party but will not work when i try to talk in game chat (fortnite). Does anyone know solutions or if i have to buy a new headset?

If the mic works in party chat the issue is not the headset but the game itself. If you’re in Fortnite, go into the game settings and you’ll see audio options, you probably have your microphone muted in there.
