Fortnite - My sons account can't play cross platform

I have a Xbox One, fully updated.

If i run Fortnite with my user, no problem at all, but if i use my son's account (i already tried to change is age but didnt work), he's not able to play cross platform.

He does not have any problems playing on the PC, this is limited to Xbox.

How to solve this?

Thr latest update is from december 1st, but it only mentions october updates like dolby vision.

Altering the birth year will not alter an account from child to adult. As RandyAU93 states, it is being dealt with in a new update. Check in settings>system>system update to see if it has rolled out to you yet.

Hello in order to play cross platform on Xbox you need to go into the settings in the Fortnite game and select the Allow cross platform play option. He should be good to go after that!

There are also new settings just unveiled that should enable the access you want.

This article describes the various parental-controls settings, including the newest changes involving cross-platform play.

Everything is set to allow.

No difference.

I actually changed my sons birthday year, for him to be an adult...still no luck.

These new settings can be found on the
