Fortnite keeps sending a error message installation stopped when trying to update how do I fix

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

I have here steps that we can try, please perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware by following the steps below:

1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

If that didn't work please let me know if the game is installed on your External hard drive or if there is an external hard drive plugged into your console.

If there is none, we may need to reset the console keeping your games and apps. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.

i have the same problem i had green screen had to do a factory reset then i downloaded my profile did the offline system update now im trying to download fortnite and it keeps stopping to installation

what do i do i ave been trying to fix it all day

I'm experiencing this problem on Xbox one. The game I'm trying to install is "Fortnite" which is free to play. There is no error code or anything it just froze on 67.8% and keeps saying installation stopped. Also, I can't update any other game because it keeps saying that "we can't get the update at this moment". I also tried uninstalling the game then reinstalling it but I still have the same issue.

Are you getting any error messages when you try to reinstall the game, or what does it say? Does Fortnite show up in your Ready to Install list (in Games and Apps)? Or what happens if you do click on Install? If you own the game, you should be able to
install it again. If you see an error message or error code, please update us with what the console is telling you. Thanks, and we'll try to help.
