Fortnite keeps getting stuck and crashing on the loading screen before a game

So Fortnite keeps crashing every time i try to load up into a battle royale game. Creative mode and the rest of the game features like the item shop still work normally however its just battle royale that crashes the game every time I load up. I tried the Epic Games customer support and they directed me here as they said it coult be an OS issue. Ive tried everything from re-installing to making sure i surpass the minimum specs and nothing has solved this issue. Im on PC btw

Unfortunately, I don't have any troubleshooting to offer for this issue.

Usually its a variation of one of these 3 messages but nothing specific i think🤔

Sometimes it will mention direct X12, (which i have but cant use on the game for some reason)

Do you get any error messages or error codes when the game crashes? Please provide screenshots if possible.

My specs are as follows:

Device name: DESKTOP-*removed for privacy*

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz 1.80 GHz

An Intel UHD Graphics 620 chip (latest version as no update has been pushed since last year)

Installed RAM: 12.0 GB (11.4 GB usable)

System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Edition: Windows 10 Pro

Version: 22H2

OS build: 19045.3393

And the game ran battle royale normally up until half way through last season. Now only creative mode works without the laptop crashing

Outdated drivers can cause performance and compatibility issues with Fortnite. In the Epic Games Launcher library, right-click Fortnite and select "Verify." This will check and repair any corrupted or missing files that may be causing the problem.
