    I have tried all the above and still the same issue occurs where the game freezes and then returns back to the xbox homescreen. Is there another way of fixing this problem.

    I cant play fortnite

    There was a new update yesterday which required a 20gb+ download to install before starting season 2 of chapter 2. It’s possible that your xbox hasn’t installed this update and this is why you can’t play. Try going into manage game for fortnite and see
    whether or not the new update is there for you. Hopefully this helps get you back into the game as the new season has been fun from the small amount i’ve played so far :)

    I understand how that can be frustrating. It is simply how that game works. They have moved on to season 2 there is no longer a season 1. From what I understand there is no going back to the previous seasons. Just like when Fortnite moved on to a new chapter.
