    Hello, my name is Jason and im attempting to recover my account but it has been actual years since i last logged into it, if i recall correctly the Xbox 360 required you to set up an account so 14 year old me didn't take it too seriously. and since it's
    been years since ive done anything with it, the recovery questions are crazy hard, like "what was the card number you used and its expiration date?" i dont have a copy of my mom's credit card from 7 years ago, nor am i able to answer who i've emailed to and
    the subjects of said emails.

    Furthermore, my sister traded in the 360 at gamestop when i was away. So am i completely screwed here? Is there any IP tracking or questions i could answer with an actual person instead of a set list of extremely restricting questions?

    Can't reset silver account password

    I set up a silver account for my girlfriend a year ago and haven't used it in at least six months. I tried logging in today and it asks me for my password which doesn't work. Then it says to reset my password I should go to xbox.com/forgot but that is asking
    me for a microsoft account but I signed up her silver account with my yahoo email address and not a hotmail/microsoft address. How do I reset this password? When I type in the yahoo address it says it's invalid.

    old account issues.....

    several years back (2009 or sooner)i created a hotmail account so i could use XBL. i completely forgot about it until today 08/10/2013 when it asked me on XBL for the account and password to verify that it was my account. Not knowing the password or the
    secret question are all of my XBL points as well as achievements gone for good???

    This happened to me a while back. Try and fill in as much detail as possible, including names associated with the account and dates of birth. Also, if i remember correctly, there is a section based upon billing information if you pay for xbox live through
    the email or gamertag associated with it; try filling in information there, as it a very obvious show that it is your account.

    It worked now but Hotmail is telling me I'm not adding as much information so I can prove that it's me. I've entered the bankaccount number etc, my moms name, when she is born etc but they're still telling me I need to provide more information. I'm stuck
    and I really need help.

    Are you using Internet Explorer 8, 9 or 10? The web pages are optimized for those, and if you're using Firefox or Chrome, that error can happen a lot.

    Well, that info was what was put in when her acct was created... and that's what the Security folks at Microsoft Accounts require. No one here has any ability to help with that, you have to help us help you by finding enough information
    to get that submitted.
