    Forget Wireless Network


    When attempting to login to my WiFi, it fails. For some reason even though my Xbox was connected last night when I played, today it says my password is wrong. I tried selecting ‘go offline’ and then ‘forget network’ and then resetting my Xbox and then going back to network settings to ‘go online’ and then select my SSID but it tries to connect automatically anyways. I’ve tried everything, and my Xbox will not let me re-enter my WiFi password to authenticate. Hard resetting doesn’t work, ‘forget wireless’ doesn’t work, trying to connect to a different network nearby (unsuccessfully obviously) then trying to reconnect to my WiFi doesn’t work, the support feature on Xbox support doesn’t work since the virtual assistant is trying to tell me my phone number doesn’t exist even though Microsoft just sent me a validation code via text when I associated my number with my account.

    Xbox One forgetting Wireless network

    I have heard of other people having this issue with Destiny specifically. Many times you can fix it by holding the Xbox logo on the front of your console for 10 seconds until it fully powers down and unplugging the power cord from the back of your console.
    Leave it unplugged for 5 minutes, plug it back in and set up your network again. After that it should hopefully keep your information.

    I am seeing the exact same behavior. In the middle of playing Destiny, the Xbox One will disconnect, and Settings will indicate that no wireless networks are configured. This started in the past few days.

    It happens to me also often while playing Destiny and it is very frustrating. The hard reboot works but I shouldn't have to keep doing this over and over all night long to play a game. They really need to address this.
