Forced updates during gameplay/app usage

Its a joke that I have had my xbox turned on for hours then when Im trying to relax before bed halfway through a movie on netflix it kicks me to a update screen where my only options are to update or go offline/turn off my xbox. I had no notifications of
said update to know I should have done it earlier. I also have auto update on.

This is just unacceptable.

It you are in the insider/preview program you should consider opting out to reduce the number of updates.

Thats a great point thanks, I attempted to opt out in the past but the steps to opt out seemed over complicated and not worth the time but I'll try again and at least that will minimize the amount of updates.

Your are in the Insider Program...if you dont want things like that happening then you should leave it.

The best thing to do is check the Reddit Xbox Insiders site where there is advanced notification of Insider ring updates or check System>Settings>System>Updates and downloads.

I have already done 3 updates this week and am just about to do another.

Wow... I just was saved from another forced update in Omega. Thank you sir/madam. Off to read this updates patch notes. Though I must say MB are so much better, even when frequent than the 23+ GB update that one game did last night. Even with good internet
that takes awhile to download but that's a whole separate issue and is off topic for this discussion. Anyway, thank you again AquarrzSudnnym.
