Forced to reset Xbox one, Error 0x80070571, can’t download games

I recently attempted to download a game and was greeted with a message that read:

Reset your console

Sorry, we can’t save additional game or app data. To continue, go to Settings > System > Console info > Reset console. For more info, select Help. (0x80070571)

Hoping to fix the issue without losing all of my games (my internet is very slow and redownloading would be a pain), I deleted a game I didn’t play often. Once I’d done this, I had 160 GB free. Then, I attempted to download the (rather small) game I’d just bought. I was greeted with the same error. I cleared up some more space and tried again. No such luck. Giving up, I followed the instructions in the error message and reset my entire console.

Three days later I attempt to download a DIFFERENT game. It still wont let me and I get the same error. I have done a lot of research and tried to find any mention of this problem. Nothing. If anyone could please help I would sincerely appreciate it, don’t want to lose all my progress in the games I own/redownload them all and I have a feeling that app data isnt the real problem here.

For those wondering, here is a list of solutions I tried:

- hard reset the console several times (unplugged for 10+ seconds)

- restarted the console several times

- deleted a 50 GB game

- deleted unneeded apps totalling a few gigs

- factory reset the console without deleting all games

Also, this comes after an external storage device that indicates it is connected to the xbox when plugged in, mysteriously became inaccesable (as well as the games on it). Might be unrelated, unsure.

Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thank you for your time!

I am sorry to know about the installation issue; However, we have multiple detailed troubleshooting steps for this matter on the official Xbox website to help you take care of it. Before going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned on the link I was referring to, I would like you to go through the following steps to clear your Mac address and then perform a quick power cycle on your console:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

Another thing you should check is your NAT type. I would like you to check your NAT type if open because that could sometimes interfere. to check for the NAT type you can follow the steps below:

Settings > Network Settings > NAT type => It should be open.

If the NAT type is not open, you will need to open some ports with your internet provider. These ports must be open for Xbox Live to work: Port 88 (UDP) Port 3074 (UDP and TCP) Port 53 (UDP and TCP) Port 80 (TCP) Port 500 (UDP) Port 3544 (UDP) Port 4500 (UDP).

After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console to check if it's installing this time.

In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox :

Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

Hi, I'm trying to use my saved games in the cloud but my code 0x80070571, and have tried to resolve it with the steps listed

i had np downloadin either although somtimes turning your xbox off then on again which resets it and will resume the download dont play games while downloading as this interupts downloads and results in the error message and can cause it to glitch which
stops downloads every time you attempt one forcing you to take steps i mentioned earlyer

Ok so i’m having all kinds of issues I’ve soft reset hard reset and factory reset already every time I try and download a game or an app I get this error code 0x8024401c I can’t find it on the website of codes either

I can’t connect to Xbox live on 360 back compatible games. The rest of the Xbox one behaves normally. I know it’s not a problem with my console because both my old 360 and the 360 emulator on the Xbox one do it.

I thought maybe the problem was on my end so I did a soft reset. Now the 360 emulator on the Xbox one has no profile on it. I can’t download my profile to it because it can’t connect to Xbox live. So I can’t save at all in back compatible games.

Is it a regional problem? Is it down for maintenance? The status page doesn’t mention anything.
