Forced to buy the same game twice

Hi,

My son is doing a minecraft course which requires a Minecraft java edition license. I bought it last month. I have a confirmation email from Mojang Studios. Today, just before the course, I checked that everything is fine. However the game did not appear in my son's account. I looked around, but couldn't fix it. In desperation I bought the game again. This time I got a confirmation email from Microsoft. My son's account is in my family group and it has always been.

When my son logs in, now he can see the purchased game. However, I'd like to recover the money from one of the purchases. How to do it?

You can try to request a refund by signing in to https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders and then copy the order number. Once you have it simply go to the refund webform link here: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/forms/request-a-...

This Op is daft. They said the DRM and the 24 hour check in, could not be removed . They removed it. MS lied. Who is daft enough to swallow the same lie off the same company twice.

The fact is, they simply want stupid people to be forced into buying stuff they do not want. What happened with the original kinect NO ONE wanted it and it bombed. Strong arming us into getting the same crap twice, does not fly with many folk here. Get over
it. What MS demand we do and what we will do are 2 different things.

They will make more money off the LE games then they will the consoles. so the LE is going to have something that will force all the people just buying the game alone to spend twice as much cash for a code.

I would like to try avoid buying it twice as if I was forced to I'd probably go the physical disc route.

I know how you feel, I had the same problems.

Thing is that the XBox 360 games do not carry over to the XBox One forcing us players to buy it again. Think it´s the same reason why the 360 Disc games don´t work on the One either, the games just have the quality that the XBox One delivers.There have been
some offers in the past that if you Pre-Order a certain game for the 360, you can download it for the One Free of Charge.

Battlefield has no such offer so we are forced to buy it twice if we want to play it on both Consoles.
