Forced crossplay for Warzone 2?

I have been an avid fan and gamer on the Xbox platform since they were first released many years ago. We have had xbox consoles in every bedroom for our sons and also in the livingroom for myself. Recently though we were going to update all new consoles for Warzone 2 and all new Elite controllers for the best gaming experience possible. Microsoft though is continuing its abhorent policy of forced crossplay! For this reason alone we have cancelled all of our live memberships and are switching to new PS5 consoles and scuff controllers. Will xbox be changing this policy anytime soon so that we can come back to xbox or will we be forever Sony players from here on? Sony allows their players the option to opt out, but Microsoft is so greedy to get their piece of the PC pie that they use their xbox loyal base as chips to play instead of returning that loyalty to us. We see where we stand in the eyes of microsoft!

Yes, I know people play crossplay. That's the problem. I don't want to play cross play! The advantages for PC are too much, not to mention the constant hackers! I want to be able to turn it off! Yes, I know that I can turn it off, but if I want to play warzone then I'm forced to turn it right back on.

That's a bs answer!!! Sony has it as an option and that response holds no water. PC players and PS5 players both have the option to opt out. So are you really trying to say that they made laws that only pertain to xbox players? Yes, xbox players can turn off cross play, but if they want to play warzone they are forced to turn it back on. PC players can leave it off. Sony players can leave it off. Microsoft forces us to keep it on because they want to break into the PC market. Period! So they are obviously choosing profits over their loyal base.

You should ask Activision why that is, as they have the answer

Activision has total control over these policies. All matchmaking takes place on their servers.

You are forgetting the console players can also use keyboard and mouse

And don't forget you can turn off cross play

Start your Xbox.
Proceed to console settings.
Go to Xbox privacy found in account, privacy & online safety.
Click View details & customise.
Select Communication & multiplayer.
Switch You can join cross-network play to Block.
Restart your Xbox.

Just not ingame

It just wont do you any good because you will block next gem players and will still play against keyboard users on xbox one

Why would Activision only force crossplay on Xbox players? This seems completely illogical so it definitely does feel like Xbox have to have some involvement here.

It’s ridiculous that we are forced to play with mouse and keyboard players. Even PC players with a controller have the frames advantage and also the ability to use hacks.

I do not know a single Xbox player who likes that fact that we are the only ones forced into crossplay and essentially become being cannon fodder for PC players lol
