Forced ads on Twitch

First, there are no demos for online purchasable games - which sucks and should be unlawful. Because there is absolutely no way to test games and encourages developers to sell crap.

Watching twitch streams somehow alleviated that.

But now? You FORCE me to sit through 2 Ads before i can watch somebody else play instead of giving me the tried and tested method of of demoing each game before i buy it.

I will not renew my xblive account after this. In case you haven't noticed: in the rest of the digital world, we pay monthly to see LESS ads not MORE.

Twitch just got hacked, time to change your passwords

I was on twitch when they forced me to change it. Didn't know what it was about, so changed my password anyways.

Actually if you head to the Twitch page on your pc you will also see ads. Usually in a much longer duration than what happens on the console so I believe they are added by the service themselves.

On the PC you can bypass these ads by adding an ad blocker. I use Adblock Plus.

Unfortunately you cannot download something like this on the console. However you could try posting a request in the Feedback Forums requesting that ads be removed from the app.

twitch was on xbox from the beginning and was the only way to stream, mixer came out a few years later, as mixer was not doing well they sold the assets to facebook and closed mixer

any ads in the twitch stream are there by twitch not microsoft, dont want ads then sign up to prime i think as amazon own twitch.

you get ads with youtube also.
