Force all players to log in.

We've had some issues with one of our younger kids getting into a multiplayer game with her siblings and never logging into any player account at any point. It seems like as long as at least one player is logged in and launches the game any number of additional players can connect up controls and just play without every signing in.

I'd really like to prevent this from happening. We track our kids screen time and force limits. When they "cheat" like this its their way around screen limits. Is there a setting that requires each active and connected controller (for arguments sake) to be logged in?

Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

From what I can gather, there isn't a way to turn off the guest account. Here is an article explaining the guest account: Set up and use an Xbox guest account | Xbox Support

If you can, although I do think this is only for Xbox Insiders, submit feedback by pressing, and holding your Xbox home button on the controller, then selecting feedback (if the option is available to you).

You can try the next thing to prevent this from happening again:

1. Assign each controller to a child profile (can be the same) on the console

Go to Settings > account > sign in, security and passkey and create a passkey for the child account.

(Or create a passkey for all the accounts)

That would prevent the kids to bypass screen limits.

And just to let you know, creating a guest profile doesn't disable the privacy settings and settings in general, the guest have the same settings asoriginal profile

"If there is only one person signed in to the console, the guest account has the same privacy settings as the host.
If there are multiple players signed in to the console, the guest account has the same privacy and online safety settings as the family member with the most limited settings. For example, if a younger member of an Xbox family group is signed in, the guest is limited by that member’s settings."

Unfortunately the only way to sign out of all devices is by changing the password and choosing the option of signing out of all devices.

Change the password on your account, it won't let you log back in on a console until you provide the new password.

Or you can just change your password, all logged in devices will be forced to re-authenticate. or just sign onto another xbox and that will force the other account to sign out. hope that helps.
