    The first one. Seeing and playing that game for the first time, that was a really mindblowing experience for me.

    Not sure I'd say it's definitely the best in the series, but I really enjoyed playing through 4 this last week. I liked seeing how the characters had grown and moved on and it had some good 'cool' moments. Fun MP too.

    The first Gears may not be the best features wise, but it'll always have a spot in my heart for a few reasons. It was the game that made the 360 a must own and at the time there was nothing out there like it.

    Gears 2 also stands out because of Doms storyline.

    Whole series (expect Judgement), because, all of them make one great story, one of the best in gaming history, and mechanics of fighting behind something is born in Gears.

    So being said, can't wait for five.
