"for custom images, you need to be older" message

Despite my account being over 18 I still get the "for custom images, you need to be older message" on the Xbox app, does anyone know a workaround that can help me? Thanks

Need help uploading custom gamerpic

I have tried to change my gamerpic to a custom gamerpic. When I try to do so I get an error message saying, "Choose one of the featured images, for custom images, you need to be older". My account is set at adult and I put the birthday as 1984, yet it still
says this?????

is your account settings correct like your birth date? If not have you tried contacting xbox support?

You need to be 18 years or older to use custom gamerpics.

As you've said you are both 17 then this feature wont be available to you.
