Flight simulator wont re-install

So i downloaded fs for the first time, i got the 3.68 gb error and managed to troubleshoot that and got in the game, after flying once i was getting crashes, that at the time i believed were due to
the fact i was running the game off of a slow hard drive. So i un installed the game and attempted to re install, when trying to install again it just says please wait and flashes, identically to this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVYqSsG0avM&lc=UgzlrieR3-UCOknjtgV4AaABAg.9CaOdo5NYjg9CaPqint-Ks

i have found a couple people on the fourms with the exact same issue and i am in contact with one of them we have both tried everything we can but with no luck yet.

Just found this very short video for another download problem but a chap mentions the 3.68Gb and how he fixed it, and it is working for me.

It is during file decompression.

go into your "your drive":\MSFS\Official\OneStore\ and delete the last file that was down loaded. For me it was "fs-base-cgl-0.1.28.fspatch"

I renamed it just in case, it was only1k in size. Re started FS2020

It appears that I will have to re-install the program. There is no reference for an update to Flight Simulator in the store, although that is where the link will send you for it. There is nothing about it in my update list.

How is your setup to install MS Flight Simulator? I mean, if you own a flight institution (or aeronautical engineering institution) with computers, you can install and license MS Flight Simulator on these computers and let the students use these computers on your education institution.

Now if you want to license MS Flight Simulator to be used on your students home computer (which will change like every year or so), it'll be a different situation.

I think the best option for you is to contact Microsoft about Flight Simulator by submitting a support ticket here (it's the official MS Flight Simulator Support channel):
