    Hi there,

    Trying to run FS2020 on PC through game pass. I open the game up, goes to the 'press button to start screen' I click then it proceeds to load with the circular loading screen located at the bottom right of the screen - Then the music stops and the game crashes.
    Heaps of other people are having this issue too as I've posted on Reddit.

    Also to add, I'm located in New Zealand so I've got access to the game.

    I've re-installed both FS2020 and xbox game pass to no prevail.

    Could anyone lend a hand,

    Flight Simulator 2020 Stuck on Set Your Experience

    If you’re stuck on the Flight Simulator 2020 checking for updates loading screen, these are the fixes that players have reported:

    • Restart the game
    • Run as administrator
      • To do this, type ‘Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020’ in the Windows search bar, right-click, then run as administrator
    • Download latest Windows updates
    • Download latest Nvidia driver updates
    • Disable Windows firewall (I finally get off that screen when I performed this step).
    None of these resolves the issue - I have done it all.

    I have a hard copy of Flight Simulator X Gold. New PC, no disc drive. Is there a way to download it?

    you would have to purchase it on steam, as the DRM is no longer supported.

    There's also flight simulator 2020 and 2024 available through game pass ultimate in the cloud if your computer isn't fast enough to run them

    Nope,

    Clean installed Windows - First was to download the Xbox Game Pass app, signed in with my account, installed Flight Simulator again, first it showed 152GB to go, then it changed to 1.4GB - completed opened to that loading screen with the town, and crashed back to the desktop with no error.
