Flight Simulator 2020 crashes when returning to menu, restarting, or ending flight

This issue persists no matter what I do. Whenever i return to menu from any activity in the game, i get the loading screen and the game crashes to desktop. I get no error messages. The symptoms are similar of a game that quits to desktop. Even if i try to restart a flight i get the same problem. I've tried reinstalling the game, verifying game files on steam, updating my bios, all gpu drivers are updated. I've ran the game in different video configurations, windowed mode or non windowed mode.

PC specs:

RTX 3090

Intel 10700K processor

64 GB DDR4 RAM

Playing the game at 4k resolution.

Yeah this is typical of Microsoft, launch patches that cause more issues. Its got nothing to do with anything other than the dire code Microsoft and Asobo have written. Hundreds of other games run fine without issue, but FS2020, despite its price, is a work in progress, and they have the never to tell us a new one is on the way!

I've run both the DISM and SFC scans, and cleared the temp and prefetch files. I'm not running any 3rd party content. I reinstalled the game and I still have the same issue. When returning to the menu, restarting a flight, ending a flight, the game exits to desktop essentially.

I've Run the SFC and DISM scans, cleared all temp and prefetch files. I'm not using any 3rd party mods with the game at all. I've purchased the game on steam. Is there a way to reinstall it from the website since I have it purchased on steam?

Please do the following steps:

Complete all pending window updates.

Run SFC and DISM system scans.

Clear all the temp files and prefetch files from your device.

Uninstall unused or 3rd party apps from your device.

Finally Reinstall the game again with latest exe file from the website.
