FIXED! Resetting a game (from GamePass) through Apps & Features in Settings on Windows 10,...

Hello, please help because I CAN'T find an answer anywhere online!

I had a game that wasn't running well, so I decided to go on "Apps & Features" in Settings (Windows 10) and located the game; Halo Infinite, clicked on it once, click on "Advanced Options," then under "Reset" below "If this app isn't working right, reset it. The app's data will be deleted," I clicked on "Reset," then "Reset" again after being told that doing so will permanently delete the app's data on my device.

What happened was that Halo Infinite disappeared from the "Apps & Features" in Settings and on the Xbox App. However, my storage (D remained the same, as if I still have the game installed. I thought I was going crazy. I went and tried all the codes online for CMD, ran RUN, and deleted all temp and %temp% files and temporary files under storage settings. However, my storage remained the same, as if I still had (still have it now) the game installed.

I tried shell:AppsFolder while searching on the start menu, and I still couldn't find the game. I restarted my computer like 10 times and still nothing. Nevertheless, I can still see the game under my start menu list (under H) for Halo Infinite and I click Uninstall and it does nothing.

I then decided to do the same thing with another game, A Plague Tale Innocence, and the same thing happened! My storage remains the same, but I can't find the game anywhere in File Explorer, Apps & Features, or shell:AppsFolder, NOWHERE, other than in the Start Menu and it won't launch, even as Running as Administrator nor Uninstalling it.

Lastly, I CAN'T download neither games OR ANY other game anymore on my PC. Both and all other games show error and a code that follows: 0x80070424

SOLVED EDIT!!!!

After almost 6 hours Googling EVERYTHING. Here's THE solution to this.

in PowerShell:

1. Run PowerShell as Administrator (locate the app, right click and click on "run as administrator")

2. Type: Set-ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted (click enter and it should advise to be careful)

3. Type: A (click enter, A, as in, "Yes to All")

4. Type: Get-ExecutionPolicy (click enter, and it should say "Unrestricted")

5. Type what the comment has: get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices|remove-AppxPackage -allusers

6. Go to: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/p/gaming-services/9mwpm2cqnlhn#activetab=pivot:overviewtab

7. Install Gaming Services again After 6 hours. This is what worked for me!

Try following the instructions below:

1) Open Settings

2) Click on "Apps & features"

3) Select the app

4) Click the "Advanced options" option. Windows 10 Apps & features settings

5) Click the "Reset" button. Reset app on Windows 10

6) Click the "Reset" button again

7) Launch the game

To uninstall Gamepass games from your PC after canceling your Gamepass subscription, you can follow these steps:

Press the Windows key + I to open the "Settings" app.

Go to "Apps" and click on "Apps & features".

Scroll down to find the Gamepass game you want to uninstall and click on it.

Click on the "Uninstall" button and follow the prompts to uninstall the game.

Repeat the process for any other Gamepass games you want to uninstall.

If you are unable to uninstall the games through the "Apps & features" section in the "Settings" app, you can try uninstalling them through the "Control Panel". To do this, follow these steps:

Press the Windows key + R to open the "Run" dialog.

Type "control" and press Enter to open the "Control Panel".

Go to "Programs" and click on "Uninstall a program".

Scroll down to find the Gamepass game you want to uninstall and click on it.

Click on the "Uninstall" button and follow the prompts to uninstall the game.

Repeat the process for any other Gamepass games you want to uninstall.

If that doesn't help then Reset Game Bar in Settings > Apps > Apps & Features > Xbox Game bar > Advanced Options.

If that doesn't help then re-register Xbox Game bar from Option 2 here: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/3175-apps-re-register-windows-8-10-a.html

And if that doesn't help then uninstall Game Bar in App Settings above, restart PC, reinstall Game Bar from Microsoft Store Settings > My Library.

Try resetting MS Jigsaw. In Windows 10 go to Settings/Apps & features and find Microsoft Jigsaw in the apps list. Click on Reset and see what happens. It worked for me for today's games. Further tests to come on future days...
