First time Xbox user but it says welcome back?

when you create a new Xbox account it automatically gives you a username/gamertag which you can change later.

With the first reply being said, your first gamertag change is free and after that it is $9.99. Also, Welcome to the Xbox Community!

Don't create a new account, use the download profile option on the sign in page, and input the proper email and password for the account.

The account that has the game in it's download que needs to sign into live on the xbox itself.

Unfortunately, you can't transfer Gold memberships like that.

On the Xbox One the "Home Console" can share the Gold membership to other accounts on that very console, but the Xbox 360 console can't do that.

You need to either buy a separate Gold membership for your son via Prepaid Gold cards, or subscribe to the Gold membership with his account.
