First Impressions of Halo MCC Insider multiplayer

So I finally got some games in today and all I have to say is, well bloody done 343i. Damn fine work. Keep this up and my faith will be restored. I'm so pleased to see how far this game has come and I'm looking forward to witness how this game may grow once
the bugs are ironed out.

Thanks for finally listening to the fans and 'making Halo great again'. Having these local almost 0 lag servers, no broken mechanics, less bugs and superb gameplay + the improvements with them crispy graphics?
I am shocked. Almost too shocked for words...

I cannot describe how damn excited I am for this to become the new and improved retail MCC gameplay. I'm still in disbelief and I think I'm dreaming that this is even happening right now.

If only this is how it was from day 1, damn imagine that... But now its a thing so hell yeah! Keep up the great work 343i!

Will Halo 2 and Halo 3 have the ranking system?

Halo 2 rankin system returns for the whole Halo MCC multiplayer.

 

I agree! It is pretty great so far!

 

When I jump back into Halo it takes me awhile to adjust because I have become accustomed to stuff like Titanfall which throws me off. Will have to easr back in it seems.

 

I can't wait to play MCC once again when the update goes live

 

Looking forward to experiencing the update for myself! Do you know when it goes live for the general public or should I sign-up to be a MCC Insider?

 

I have been really enjoying the new mcc beta for sure. As a beta tester i have found some glitches with the game but for the most part im really enjoying the game. Graphics are definetly super crisp and game play of all the old halos really brings back memories
for me that i enjoyed. 3 THUMBS UP TO 343 FOR SURE.

 

Halo is a lagend of a game!!

 

Halo 2 & 3 games have been excellent, but when I get into a Halo 1 game the hit detection is horrible. I recently played some regular MCC and Halo 1 still had pretty bad hit detection, but not nearly as bad as in the insider build. I understand that it's
a really tough thing to fix, but the current state of Halo 1 hit detection in MCCI is a huge step backward.

I'm really looking forward to when it's completely fixed, as MCC was always a game that I badly wanted to be great. I did play through H2A for the first time thanks to MCCI, and that was quite the experience.

 

You need to hurry. If you don't sign up by the 13th, I think you will have to wait until the official update releases later this year.

If you could share your favorite 4 or 5 improvements with the community, what would you choose? What should everyone be looking forward to?

I am curious, but not yet enough to re-install MCC.

Improvement 1: Halo 3 FIXED- As someone who played the crap out of Halo 3 on 360 and got sick of it in the MCC, this is mostly to all the people I knew and others out there who completely hated Halo 3, give it a chance, when the update releases,
trust me, this Halo 3 feels like the REAL OG Halo 3 if not slightly better! (Forge seems fixed too by the way, no more things not appearing glitches)

Improvement 2: SERVERS!- I hate how our world has lag, I parted ways with many of my foreign friends because the lag just became too much (me being an Australian and having a bunch of EU+US buddies), the servers. THE SERVERS. OH MY GOODNESS.
0 lag, perfect hit detection, no delay, no stupidity. It's almost like they also fixed the net coding or something too. Having servers now for quality matchmaking made Halo 1 through 4 an absolutely amazing experience.

Improvement 3: NO MORE VOTING!- I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT. Instead of voting for the same crap over and over, its a surprise now! Like the good old days, find players, match loads, here's your map and gametype, no boring repetition, no pre-game
lobby quitters. The other upside to this? You get into games quicker now too, no more voting, resets, freezes etc. Players found match starts end of story. Awesome.

Improvement 4: Increased campaign stability- I decided to play through every Halo from start to finish on legendary and so far I've experienced 0 crashes, load screen errors, frame rate issues etc.

Sadly I'd love to comment on the state of matchmaking playlists but there isn't anything solid on that yet. I've also reported about 20 bugs for CE, another 20 for Halo 2 and around 10 for Halo 3. As an experienced PC user for Custom Edition, by the looks
of things, these bugs that I've reported were mostly BSP and tag and texture related errors and even some DEV mistakes. I'd love to make a list... It's actually pretty big. Otherwise, everyone can look forward to this coming to the retail MCC. Worth the install
and or the money.
