Finding email account linked to XBOX - (trying to cancel subscription & get a refund)

We are getting charged monthly for an Xbox subscription but can't cancel b/c it's not connected to any of our email accounts.

Worried a kid may have one and forgotten but it's linked to our bank account apparently. We've not used this subscription but have been paying for it for a year apparently. Very frustrating that I cannot reach a human on Chat or on the phone.

Tried calling them twice and both times they've returned my call there's static after the narrated intro and no real person on the line.

Help! Any advice?

You would only be able to cancel a charge and claim a refund if you have account access. As you do not have access to the account, you will have to call your bank and ask them to cancel and block these charges. Not even support can pinpoint where these charges are coming from.

This means auto-renewal was not turned off for the subscription. This could happen if the cancellation failed or was not done correctly. Microsoft sends emails to confirm when your subscription is renewed or expiring. Regardless, you may still be able to get a refund for the most recent charge.

If you're eligible for a refund, you can follow these steps to cancel the subscription:

Sign into your account's subscriptions page: https://account.microsoft.com/services

Find your subscription and select Manage.

Select Cancel subscription and follow the instructions. If you're eligible for a refund, you'll see an option to cancel immediately with a refund.

There is no way to transfer it. You could share it through the home xbox feature though

I would still advice you to try and get a refund to then get it on the right account

You may be eligible to cancel your recurring subscription and request a refund, but not all subscription purchases are eligible for a refund. If you qualify for a refund, you will see the option to cancel immediately and request a refund when reviewing your subscription status.

Head on over to https://account.microsoft.com/services

Sign into your Microsoft account and choose the Services and Subscription tab on the web page

Find the subscription you would like to cancel.

Click Manage.

Check if you are elegible for a refund

Unfortunately since you can not transfer a subscription from one account to another and since both your PC and Xbox accounts need to be the same.

A refund will be the only way to go. Afer getting it please get your subscription with the right account
