Finding Dory on Disney Infinity 3.0 Xbox360 won't download language

Hi all,

I've followed all these instructions (both from MS and Disney). I've checked my MS account settings (I have Xbox Live and Office 365) and the location is set to South Africa (ie en-za). One curious thing on my account that has been there for ages and I've
spoken to MS about is that I ALSO have an AF profile, in addition to my ZA profile. They couldn't fix it and said I should ignore it.

Also, my credit card details are correct and my subs for Office 365 go off monthly, as well as annual for Xbox Live.

Getting pretty frustrated with this. Its been almost three weeks since this hasn't worked and its becoming more and more difficult to explain to my son why his game isn't working.

Okay guys I got it to work. Don't know how legal this is, but I have done the following:

1. I created a new xbox live account and make it look like I stay in USA. So this is a USA xbox live account. It was not necessary to add a credit card.

2. I changed my locale on the console's system settings to USA

3. I started the game and logged in with this new "USA xbox live account".

4. I was then able to download both the Finding Dory Play Set Pack as well as the Play Dory English Language Pack without any issue.

5. After it downloaded my son was able to play with both Dory and Nemo!

So my guess is that Disney and XBox forgot to add the necessary play set and language packs to the South African xbox live store (or marketplace) and they have only added it to the USA store.

At least we can now play with it until they have activated the necessary compatibility packs in the ZA xbox live store.

 

Tx Deviant! Were you able to revert back to your legitimate Xbox Live account and profile afterward and continue playing Dory?

 

Hi NunuFroggie - yes it works. I removed the USA account and logged in again with my legitimate Xbox Live account, I selected the storage onto which I downloaded the packs, and it works 100% fine!

 

Thanks for confirming for me, guys! I wanted to make sure that was fully set. If we get this to the right people and they find out we didn't ask, we'd have to ask you later.

We do not suggest doing the workaround that Milk has provided. We'd like to resolve this for you guys without having to do that, and to be able to test a resolution, you will still need to be running into the original issue. We are massively appreciative
that a work around has been found, because it does show that there is an issue with the region specifically, and helps with explaining the issue to the team that looks into this.

I've got this sent up for you guys now. I'll update you all once we've got word back. Thanks for your patience!

 

Hey, guys! I've been notified that this should be resolved now. If you didn't do the work around, can you please try to launch up the game again and see if the language pack downloads for you. Let me know how it works!

Misses Q, I am still having the same issue. I have tried downloading the updated three times, deleting it I between each, and when we go to play, we keep getting the language pack not downloaded error..

 

Hey, TenAlarm264432! I see that the account you're posting on has 0 gamerscore and no play history. Is this a new account? Can you please post back on the account that you're attempting to play the game on, and let me know which region you're located in?

I am getting nowhere with this play set and now have a very unhappy 9 yr old Downloaded the language pack, it said download 100% complete but when we try play it still says we need to download the pack. I'm at my wits end.

Hello I have same problem. I can not download the language pack and play.

I did all this

• Make sure you are signed into your account.
• Go to Settings.
• Select System.
• Select Console Settings.
• Select Language and Locale.
• Select Locale.
• Select your region from the list.

but didn't work.

Please help me.
