    Files stuck in xboxfolder after cancelling installation


    I was installing forza motorsport 2023 and had 196GB of free space on my SSD, for some reason it was filling up my drive even though it says it only needs 119GB. so i stopped the download and canceled it. Now some of the game Files are in the xboxgame folder, and they are taking up space BUT IT WILL NOT LET ME DELETE THEM, its the tracks folder from the pcfamily folder in forza, please just help. Ive been trying to get this game working for two days now. reformatted my computer twice, and im really tried of and depressed. What are you doing to these game files so we cant delete them from OUR OWN COMPUTER. you guys cause more problems than you fix. I should of just stuck with Steam, Microsoft xbox app is the worst **** peice of **** app to install games, it made my computer bluescreen. I hope your servers get hackked and you lose all your data, just like you made me lose all of mine with your **** troubleshooting, and yes this is meant to be mean to any microsoft moron that reads it. All of you can go **** yourselves, you 100% consanguinity company

    Uninstalled Game Goes to 0GB

    I've had that happen a couple of times, so I started to install the game again but cancelled the install after a minute, the 0gb file was then gone.

    It could possibly be a corrupted file, maybe? Can you cancel the download and remove anything that might have downloaded already (even if it's stuck on a few mb) and after all of it is deleted/cancelled, then go to the Store and try to download it again
    fresh? That's the first thing I would try, hopefully it might help.

    Critical Issue With Xbox App!!!

    after cancellation of Update caused partial uninstall of said game -- Ive first tried to make it install Darktide into a different folder -- 0 effect, same error, then to manually delete the remainder files to make "fresh install" -- files prove resistant to even trying to use my limited knowledge of system commands to brute-force file deletion, then went around Web to see if I can find any usable tips -- found 0 helpful things. Now after seeing other thread about same error code 0x87e00031 having a sole reply referring to WRONG error-code solution, decided to simply make a fresh Thread in hopes of it being seen. Re-Sign-In didnt help and Im unsure if "reset MS STORE" will -- I manually downloaded Xbox App from site for initial installation of it. Also -- the trouble with trying to "repair" game files would be the lack of said option for me currently, as game is stuck between "Installed" and "Not Installed" states.

    Installation problems. I got prompted to install update. I accepted. It was stuck at 99% for a really long time. I paused the install and then canceled the install. I turned off the XBOX and retried the install. This time I got a warning that the install
    was 6gb. I accepted. It has be STUCK at "0% Install" for over an hour. Not sure what to do at this point.

    Hi GamingSkull120,

    Sorry your game is stuck installing. First try doing a hard reset to see if that lets the install finish. To do that with your console on hold down the power button for about 8 seconds until it turns off. After that turn it back on and check if the game
    completes the install. If this is a disc game, then try
    taking your console offline     rebooting, and trying the install again. If all of those fail try canceling the install by going to your install queue, pressing menu, and cancel. Then try installing again.
