file explorer is not supported by xbox one

I am not sure why it is no longer supported. Maybe it wasn't used by enough people or maybe they will eventually bring it back.

file explorer is not supported by xbox one

Correct, it was removed due to limited usage,
updated from the Insiders posts here.
I'm sorry it's a feature you liked that you are unable to use now, but the usage level from users did not justify the cost to support and maintain it as a feature. Best you can do is submit to
    Xbox Feedback
that it was a feature you used, and why you used it.

    File Explorer on Xbox One

I still see the File Explorer installed on my Xbox One (Alpha Dashboard user). If it isn't visible under Apps (Installed), have you checked the Ready to install section or searching for it in the Microsoft Store?

Another alternative app that may help you out is the VLC app which you should be able to find in the Microsoft Store if you don't already have it installed.
