    File capture not found


    Hello !

    I have a problem with my Xbox app on W10. When I go into DVR Games to see my DVR on the live, I can look without problems, but when I try to download, the application crashes and closes itself.

    When I want to go into Settings / Game DVR I fall on: "Save screenshots and game snippets in:" After this I have an "Open Folder" button on which I click but nothing happens.

    And finally when I go to my videos folder, my folder captures has disappeared and when I do my shortcut Win + G he told me: "Check that your capture folder allows file registration". Except that I can not change anything anywhere ...

    If someone has a solution it would help me a lot because I really need to download my video files.

    Pity there was only one suggestion and it was WAY off target.

    Ok i got it resolved after an hour with LIVE support online.

    We considered everything and ran a few tests like making a new profile and seeing that it worked fine.

    Conclusion pointed to faulty profile.

    I logged into LIVE on xbox to save gamerscore, and then i deleted my profile only.

    When re-downloading profile i had an issue come up with it saying it can't download profile right now and error 8007045D.

    I went to LIVE.com (not xbox.com) and tried logging in. It said verify email, which i did. This fixed profile download.

    Logged into new profile, and OH MY GOD, just like magic my saves re-appeared from nowhere. All games working again.

    How weird was that hey. I have had profile errors long ago but nothing like this.

    I hope that my detailed explanation of my problems and how it was resolved will save others from this terrible occurrence.

    Save files not found???

    I found another forum post from about a year or so ago with the same issue. It had not been answered. How can such a serious error by the xbox not have been addressed? How can saves work one minute and then not even be there the next?!?!? What's worse is
    that other game saves also disappeared even when i had not tried to use them.

    This file (vcruntime140.dll) is included with the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio package. Please download and install it:

    After you install it, please restart your computer and see how it goes.

    If the issue persists, please tell me what program/game is asking for this .dll file and please try to share a screenshot of the error message.

    Captures can be found under the captures tab, the app can be found under the community tab last time I checked

    Can you use x box game bar to screen capture?

    my point was since xbox game bar is capable of screen capture can I just have it capture my screen i.e. just as a screen capture to show for instance where saves and files are or just screen capture on windows explorer to show where to move files...
    etc not just for games
