Fifa 23 / Kick-Off lokal match settings two Controller Xbox X

Hi,

hope somebody can help with the following issue:

System: XBox Series X / Game: EA Fifa 23 / Issue: Controller Setting using 2 local controller (one Elite 2 and one Series X Controller)

On the weekend I wanted to play Fifa 23 with a friend doing a local match (Kick Off with two Controller).

Following Issue, I am playing classic settings on the controller the friend of mine is playing alternative, thats where the nightmare began.

We changed the settings for Controller 2 into alternative, system asked us if we want to save. We used the empty space to save the settings, however it does not asked us to name the settings it only closed the window. We startet the game but the settings was not changed (still classic on both controllers). We entered the settings again (already in a match) it changed both controllers into alterantive settings.

We tried it for at least one hour in different ways to have controller 1 in classic mode and controller 2 in alternative after 1 hour it worked for one match but the setting stepped back into classic after and it was again not possible to do the settings.

I googled for a fix/work around, seems others have the same problem (even on other systems like PS) but there is no solution and EA seems to give a f*** and do not care at all.

We have changed the Controllers from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 1st. We have connected another Controller (XBox one) we created another Profile for Controller 2 and tried the Guest account tried to connect the controller with the USB-C cable. Nothing worked! I never faced such an issue with any other Game.

Is there any solution for this problem I was not thinking about or I did not find online?

We understand that you’re having trouble with the controller settings in FIFA 23. As per description, when changing controller settings to play the game, the settings did not save.

Firstly, you can try configuring the controller on Steam for FIFA 23. Follow the steps to do it:

Open Steam and go to Library.
Right-click on FIFA 23 and select Properties.
Click on Set Launch Options.
Type -noforcemparms -noforcemaccel -useforcedmparms -useforcedmpaccel in the text box.
Click OK.

Secondly, make sure that there are no other additional controllers connected to your PC.

Thirdly, connect your controller with a USB cable.

Fourth, assign a different account to each controller.

Disconnect your controller and check if there are controllers detected in "Set Up USB Game Controllers".

Right-click on the "FIFA 23" game and open the "Properties" menu. Click on "Controller" and click on "Disable Steam Input". If "Disable Steam Login" is checked, save it as "Enable Steam Login" and check if the problem persists.

However, I am using tje XBox Series X not the PC for Fifa 23.

Do you have a solution for the XBox Series X as well?

I appreciate for your patience and apologize for the confusion.

I found some information that might help you. According to a post on the EA forums, there is an issue with playing a local 2 player (Kick-off) match as they are usually playing 2 different Controller Settings. The game does not save the controller settings.

The game does not save the controller settings. Another post on Microsoft forums also mentions the same issue. The best approach for this problem is to post this to EA game Forums, Electronic Arts Forums - Official EA Site.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

According to EA:

"You will be able to match up with and against other players based on the version of FIFA 23 that you are playing."

This means that you will be able to play with an Xbox Series X player if they're also using the FIFA 23 Xbox One version of the game. If they're using or playing the Xbox Series X|S version of FIFA 23 and you're on Xbox One, it will not be possible.
