FH5 Crashes with an error about an unsupported 16 bit app.

I am having an issue where fh5 is crashing with an error unsupported 16 bit app when ever I try to launch it. I am on windows 11. I have tried restarting the computer and the game. I have tried checking for updates Nothing has worked. I have not tried reinstalling yet because I have very slow internet and that would take a very long time. I know my computer and os is 64 bit and the game was running on my computer before. How do you fix this?

Same error here 22H2 Beta channel but before it didnt launch anyway only got to something about a trial error reinstalled fixed it then broke again, went to 22H2 beta it lets me get further than 21H1 did before

That's weird. Forza is not a 16-bit application. Try to go to the path were Forza is installed and right-click the program launcher (ForzaHorizon5.exe) > Properties > Compatibilty tab > Run Compatibilty troubleshooter.

See if this helps and please let me know.

If you've downloaded it from Xbox app then I've a fix for ya.....go to Xbox and location Forza horizon 5 in downloads library....there click manage and then click files then repair files....this will probably work.

That's odd. There hasn't been any 16-bit applications for Windows for over 20 years now. However, I noticed in the bottom right corner of your screenshot it says you're running a preview build of Windows 11, build 25126, correct?

Looking at some bug reports (couldn't find any for Forza Horizon 5) some games are having issues, especially titles that use Easy Anticheat. Although I don't believe FH5 uses that software.

My only assumption is that your current preview build may have broken your FH install.

Best bet would be to ask over on the Windows Insider preview forum
