    FFXV Royal Edition and Comrades Photos Blackened Out (Xbox)


    Good morning.

    I would like to know if anyone found a solution to the blackened out photos in the Royal Edition and Comrades. I could see the photos taken automatically and manually. Now, every save file in the Royal Edition is gone and in Comrades, all the pictures that Vyv's photographer took are gone. I sent an email to Square Enix's support, but I doubt that I will get a response.

    Hi there! Christopher here, an Xbox fan and been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. For the black photos makes sure you turn off the ignis filter!

    It seems you're experiencing a really weird glitch RC! Unfortunately, this is the only reply I could get for a solution on the official FF Reddit:

    "Yeah, i deleted all of my photos when it happened. I did kept a spare save file, just in case the glitch gets fixed in the future.

    From what i've seen, there isn't any fix yet. From what you can tell from this post, not much people get this glitch so the word doesn't get spread around. SE will probably never notice this glitch and it might never get fixed for that reason.

    i've been using the screenshot feature in the xbox to keep my photos backed up and sharing my favorite pictures, just in case it happens again."

    Thanks for your reply. I went to the end of the archive and waited. The pictures did not load. I also tried uninstalling and installing the games. That didn't work either.

    And also when you go to the archive, you might notice they appear black but I think they load in reverse. I went to the end and those were there, it just takes time to load the rest.

    Just a heads up - the Comrades DLC that was part of FFXV was discontinued yesterday. It's now a stand-alone game.

    I'm not sure if this comes with the royal edition or not, but it's not part of FFXV any longer.
